This policy explains what happens to information when you use Wage Claim Map (wageclaimmap.com).

The short version

You don't need an account. The wage-theft calculator and the final-pay checker work only in your browser: what you type in them is not sent to us. The demand letter asks for your name, contact details and details about your job. When you download or copy the letter, those details are saved on our server; the note at the top of the letter form says so. Nothing is sent while you type. Visit records, including IP addresses, are kept separately, and letter details are never stored with your IP address or with a visit identifier. We don't sell information.

The demand letter

The details you enter in the letter form are sent to our server only when you download or copy the letter. We store them without your IP address, without any visit identifier and without your city. We use them to count letters and to see which states and parts of the form are used. We don't use them to contact you, and we don't share them with your employer or anyone else. The PDF and Word files are created on your device.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request, to deliver the page and protect the site.

We run our own visit counter. It does not use cookies. It keeps a random visit identifier in your browser's local storage. For each visit it records the pages viewed, the site you came from, the time spent on each page, clicks on buttons and links, your IP address, your country, state and city, and your device and browser type. It never records what you type in the forms. We use these records only to see how the site is used.

How long we keep information

We keep visit records and letter details for 5 years and then delete them.

If this changes

If we add other analytics or advertising, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

Email, children and your rights

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Visit records are not linked to your name, so we can find them only if you give us the IP address you used; letter details can be found by the name or employer you entered. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights.
